HERD SIRE BULLS FOR REFERENCE ONLY -
South House Dapper Dan -P 6/2/2013 - used in AI, 43.5" at 3 years
Beta Casein A2/A2, BD1-
Kappa Casein A/B, Beta Lactoglobulin ?/B
MJHB 0083, AMJA 1260, UC Davis NC14802
We've long admired Dapper Dan's conformation and his dam's near perfect udder. His sire line is known to have White Galloway 5 generations back. His dam has a pure Jersey bloodline going back to a bull imported from Great Britain thirteen generations back, Signal of Oaklands, JEGBR000000005979, born 04/10/1922.
Offspring by Dapper Dan:
TDH Dino Smurf - PP 11/10/2015 - used in AI, 41" at 2.5 years, Deceased
BBR100
Beta Casein A2/A2, BD1-
Kappa Casein AA, Beta Lactoglobulin BB
PMJS G01150005, JEUSA00074EXQ990, MJHB0544, UC Davis NC30398
Dino had a sweet disposition and was Homozygous Polled. He comes from an excellent milking background, combining the Meadow Beauty and Barnyard Tinker Smurf lines. He's negative for BVD, BLV, Brucella, Johne's, and Chondro. He last measured 41" at 2.5 years.
Offspring by Dino:
Rush Farms Kristoff - P 8/31/2014 - used in AI, 42" at 33 months
BBR 80+ (assumed by genetic testing of NW Autumn)
Beta Casein A2/A2, BD1-
Kappa Casein AA, Beta Lactoglobulin BB
IMCBR6135, MJHB0419, AMJA1434, UC Davis NC21733
Kristoff is negative for BVD, BLV, Brucella, Johne's, and Chondro. At 33 months he measured 42" at the top of the hip. He is Heterozygous Polled. NW Autumn was sired by Kristoff out of NW Brook, BBR100, Autumn is BBR90 so we now know Kristoff isn't 100% pure Jersey genetics.
Offspring by Kristoff:
MPRR Little Firecracker - P 4/27/2013 - used in AI, Deceased
BBR94+ (assumed by genetic testing of NW Meadow and NW Fern)
Beta Casein A2/A2, BD1-
Kappa Casein AA, Beta Lactoglobulin BB
PMJS G01140007, MJHB0054, UC Davis NC14453
Firecracker is A2/A2, Negative for Chondro, measured 41" at the top of the hip when three years old, Heterozygous Polled but has scurs, and good natured. His Dam is one of their best milking Minis. He took height off and we're pleased with teat length.
Offspring by Firecracker:
Frey's Dairy Toro 8/27/2013 - Live Cover, Deceased
BBR 100 (assumed by parentage & genetic testing of NW Emerald, NW Ruby,
& NW Snowflake)
Beta Casein A1/A2
Toro is A1/A2, not a Chondro carrier, Fawn colored, and straight off an all Jersey dairy. He was raised on our homestead as a graft calf. He brought down height, put great udders on his daughters, and raised milk and cream production.
Offspring by Toro:

(A1/A1), (A1/A2), (A2/A2), (A2/B) or (A1/B) = The type of Beta-Casein in a cow's milk. One type isn't necessarily better than another, though those with asthma or allergies may notice a difference. Most grocery store milk is A1/A1 from a Holstein cow. We're developing our herd to contain the A2/A2 proteins because we have a family history of asthma and allergies.
