Goodsell Andy Betsy
A2/A2
CALVED APRIL 2, 2018
$3000
AVAILABLE NOW
Betsy, born January 11, 2015, A2/A2, Dehorned, Fawn, 48" Standard height at 3 years old. As we get closer to our goal we have to make some really hard decisions. This is one of those. Betsy is a sweet cow, fully trained, and a great mom. She's relaxed and likes to call to us from across the farm if she sees we're outside. She lets us lay back on her while she's suning out it the pasture. She's a great cow!
Betsy is American Jersey Cattle Association registration #JEUSA000119280139. She has a nice high udder with gorgeous long teats (pictured above with her calves). She scores well in strength, teat length, and rump width. She was bred by the respected Goodsell Dairy that's also known for 4H show cows. Her additional milk proteins are Beta Casein AA, Beta Lactoglobulin AB, and Kappa Casein BB.
We manage our herd with organic practices and harvest our own hay.
We offer lifetime support and have a Five Star Rating. Betsy comes with an extensive folder of genetic testing, health care documentation, receipts, and personal notes. We put everything in writing. Registrations will be transferred at our expense. Our herd tests clean annually for BLV/BVD/TB/Johne's. Reserve Betsy now with a $1000 deposit and contract.

Snowflake Flurry
Calved April 1, 2018
$5500
** Pending Sale **
AVAILABLE first of May and in milk!
NW SNOWFLAKE FLURRY, A1/A2, dehorned, 45" Midsize (measured March 22, 2018), dual registered with the International Miniature Cattle Breeders Society & Registry, IMCBR, (IMCBR6106) and the American Jersey Cattle Association, AJCA, (JEUSA000173128497 {1} BBR 100%), JH1 F, JH2 F, Kappa Casein BB, Beta Lactoglobulin AB, and will complete her training to hand milk in April. DNA verified to be 100% pure Jersey genetics. Pure Jersey but in a smaller package, perfect for the family farm or homesteader.
She was born to 43" Midsize, Buttercup (IMCBR6103), Feb 2, 2016. Sired by Midsize Frey's Dairy Toro, she carries dairy genetics that trace back to Eclipse (JEUSA000114845461). Snowflake had her first calf April 1, 2018, unassisted. Her Mini Jersey bull calf will be retained to keep her bloodlines in our breeding program. She's been an attentive mother, all we could hope for. She's a wonderful combination of genetics from production dairy lines and respected Mini Jersey bloodlines.
She's been a dream at milking! We expect some resistance from a heifer but she's been great, barely shifting her feet. She's going to make a wonderful family milk cow with moderate production. Snowflake is halter trained and will provide your family with about 3 gallons a day of Raw Milk for making cheese, butter, and healthy dairy products. She's a little shy but easily won over with brushing and Organic Alfalfa pellets.
We manage our herd with organic practices and harvest our own hay. She's never had antibiotics.
We offer lifetime support and have a Five Star Rating. Snowflake comes with an extensive folder of genetic testing, health care documentation, receipts, and personal notes. We put everything in writing. Registrations will be transferred at our expense. Snowflake could be your only cow for your family so be sure you buy the right one, with no surprises!
Our herd tests clean annually for BLV/BVD/TB/Johne's. She's BANGS vaccinated in compliance with state law. Her hooves will be professionally trimmed in April. Rebreeding by AI can be negotiated. Reserve Snowflake now with a $1000 deposit.

Bébinn Eara -
"Fair Lady From The East"
Pronounced: BAY-vin AY-rah
$3000
AVAILABLE NOW!
BÉBINN EARA, Polled, 43" (measured March 22, 2018), born Oct 2016, selective cross of a traditional size Scottish Highland bull over a Miniature Belted Galloway cow. Bebinn has a perfect wide belt inherited from her Dam. She is being offered so we can grow our Mini Jersey herd.
This compact beef cross is perfect for the family farm or homesteader. These complimentary breeds are known for easy calving, foraging ability, a double coat for winter hardiness, parasite resistance, and high butterfat. Highlands are easy keepers and the meat is lower in cholesterol and fat, but higher in protein compared to other breeds. Galloway do exceptionally well on a grass-fed diet and have strong maternal ability.
Bebinn is very affectionate and we think she could potentially be used as a dual purpose cow, providing bull calves and milk for the table. She loves attention, is easy to handle and will do anything for food or the brush.
We offer lifetime support and have a Five Star Rating from our clientele. She comes with a folder of health care documentation, receipts, and personal notes. We put everything in writing.
She was tested for BVD/BLV/Johne's/TB and BANGs tagged in May 2017. We have a clean herd, annually tested. Her hooves will be professionally trimmed in April. She is Open, not exposed, but cycling regularly as of Dec 2017.
Bebinn has a sister, Lealus, and it's possible we would let her go with Bebinn for $5500 for both. Reserve Bebinn now with a $1000 deposit.

Munchkin, IMCBR6137, is Buttercup's first calf and Snowflake Flurry's half sister. Both her dam and sire, DC Todd (IMCBR4412, MJHB057) have some big names in Miniature Jersey breeding. She's a sweet little princess, always eager to be the center of attention. She loves being scratched and brushed all over. She will stick her tail nearly straight up when you rub her udder! We think she's going to make her new family in California a wonderful family milk cow.

Creme Caramel (Cara) went to a young family working towards self-sustainability on 180 acres in Colorado. She will gave them a heifer by Wellington later that Summer. Cara is the first calf born to Buttermilk, a half sister to Creme Brulee and Emerald, and the granddaughter of Sweet Cream. She's somewhat shy but an excellent mother to Ruby and affectionate to our Livestock Guardian Dogs. Early in her lactation she tandem nursed Ruby and Emerald. Her training will serve her new family well as their first family milk cow.

Buttermilk is the Dam of Creme Caramel and Emerald. She tandem nursed Caramel and Creme Brulee (her half sister by the same Dam) early in her first lactation, later nursing Toro, then Wellington. She went to a long-time milkmaid in Kansas and is the pasture companion to a cow and calf. Buttermilk left our homestead fresh in her second lactation and rebred to Wellington. She was one of our original two Jersey cows and the beginning of Lorinda's obsession.

Creme Brulee (Caramel's half sister by the same Sire) went to a family living off-grid in Missouri with young children. Brulee is an integral part of their lifestyle. They make cheeses, yogurt, and butter with her milk. She arrived there expecting her first calf in about five more months, having been bred to Toro. She delivered a gorgeous heifer and has been a wonderful mother, readily standing to nurse and be milked.

Sweet Cream is the Dam of Buttermilk and Creme Brulee and one of our original two cows. She went to a rancher's wife in Kansas. Lorinda was just learning to milk and two Jerseys in top production was too much! Sweetie was the more patient milker and in her second lactation. She easily gave 3 gallons of milk a day, with a quart of cream per gallon. She was affectionate and gentle, allowing us to give milking lessons to the children who toured our homestead.

God made the beasts of the earth after
their kind, and the cattle after their kind,
and everything that creeps on the ground
after its kind; and god saw that it was good.
