North Woods Lumberjack -P
A2/A2, BBR93 GT100K, 40.5" @ 2.5 yrs
Lumberjack is the culmination of two parallel North Woods Homestead bloodlines. His dam, Lilac, is a cousin to his sire, Vanguard, because their dams are maternal sisters out of Ruby. Ruby is a sweetheart who has a very high milk volume and pure Jersey genetics.
TDH Dino Smurf is repeated as the maternal grand sire and paternal great grand sire. He's an excellent example of a well-proportioned Miniature Jersey, with a strong topline, great feet, calm temperament, and moderate production.
Little is known about Sunshine Acres Star but when I saw this picture I wasn't as worried about Sunshine Acres having bred her to her son, Oakwood Junior. While I would never do that (outside of producing an animal for butcher in a survival situation), she's a nice cow from what we can tell. She's compact, feminine, has a level udder, and nice hip angle.
This intentional line-breeding produced an 8.6% Genomic Inbreeding percent (repetition of DNA), well below the 12.5% allowed by the Purebred Mini Jersey Society. He will breed true because Ruby, Dino Alpha, and Star are repeated in different generations and all are high Jersey purity. That being said, I wouldn't recommend Lumberjack for a daughter of Dino or Alpha. You want to pay attention to genetic diversity. I use the free version of Kintraks.com to check before every mating.
Thank you for considering North Woods Lumberjack to sire your herd!

Star and Sunshine Acres Oakwood Jr. don't have recorded registered heights, though Sunshine Acres Star appears miniature in her photo below.
