Our LGD Pack
SPARTAN
Spartan was our first Livestock Guardian and a rescue at 10 months old in 2013. He's Anatolian/Pyrenees/Akbash and he has been neutered. With a lot of work he transitioned into a trusted guardian by 2 years old. Spartan has a soft spot for the baby calves. He's the first to greet them and will stay on their tails in the pasture.
ARTEMIS and APHRODITE
Artemis and Aphrodite are full sisters and came home with their sister, Athena, in Feb 2015. They are Pyrenees/Anatolian. By 6 months old Spartan was training them to guard the Mini Jersey herd and they were quickly learning basic commands like come, sit, lay down, leave it, and stay. These hard working girls are spayed.
LITTLE
Little is retained from Millie's first litter to join our Pack. As we grow into our 60 acres and expand our herd of Mini Jerseys we need more LGDs. Little is spayed. She was the smallest in the litter. This girl is fiercely loyal to us but a bit timid.
ODIN
TITAN
Odin and Titan are Little's brothers from the same litter. They're both neutered. Odin is an intimidating giant. Titan is cautious and observant. These big boys add muscle and numbers to our Pack and deter wolves, cougars and bears coming off the nearby mountains.
In Memoriam
ATHENA
Athena was a full sister to Aphrodite and Artemis. Sadly, Athena passed Sept 3, 2016, and is buried out our back door. She was always willing to be the coyote in games of "Chase the Coyote". Athena was fun loving and fierce but left us way too soon.
